V18 from Hwy. 18 to South Corporate Limits of the City of Alta Vista

V18 (Gilmore Ave.) will be closed to thru traffic from Hwy. 18 to the South Corporate Limits of the City of Alta Vista for a PCC Overlay Project beginning on Monday, March 11, 2024. Contractors will start with pavement removal of certain sections of the roadway working from South to North. Concrete work is proposed to begin towards the end of March. Current estimated project completion date is early June, weather pending. Depending on what stage the project is in, certain sections of roadway/intersections will be closed to thru traffic. There is a signed detour in place utilizing Co. Rd. B22/Hwy. 63/Hwy. 18. Questions can be directed to the Chickasaw County Engineer's Office (641-394-2321).
