Payroll/Claims Clerk Position

Assist the County Auditor in all performance of duties.

Job Description

The Chickasaw County Auditor’s Office is accepting applications for a Payroll/Claims Clerk position. This position assists the County Auditor in the performance of the duties assigned.  Some of the duties include but are not limited to: processing claims, fixed asset inventory, enters payroll from county departments, preparation for elections, assist with FMLA & health insurance compliance, assists in completing and mailing passport applications, monitors expenditures, revenues and prepares monthly reports as requested for Boards & Department Heads.  The successful candidate should have a high school diploma or GED equivalency.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required with ability to quickly learn and use knowledge of diverse subject matter.  Excellent communication and customer service skills are a necessity.
