Veteran Affairs

The Chickasaw County Veterans’ Service Office provides support to veterans, widows of veterans, children of deceased or disabled veterans and parents who lost a son or daughter in military service.

We help these individuals apply for the various federal and state benefits. We work WITH the federal Veterans Affairs, Iowa Department of Veteran Affairs and other veteran organizations to inform veterans on the benefits for which they are eligible.

We do NOT work for the Veterans Administration or the State of Iowa and have no direct influence on the granting of benefits.
