Two vacancies on the Chickasaw County Veterans Affairs commission will need to be filled effective July 1, 2025. Chickasaw County Veterans are encouraged to apply for this opening. Applications are available on the Chickasaw County website under the heading “Chickasaw County Boards and Commissions Application” or obtained at the Auditors or Veterans Affairs offices. Applications are due to the Chickasaw County Auditor’s office no later than 4 PM on Friday, June 20, 2024.

FHWA Bridge #112400 located on B28 (140th St.) between Fayette Ave. and V18 (Gilmore Ave.) over the Little Wapsipinicon River will be closed for replacement starting on Monday April 28, 2025 at 8:00 AM. Traffic will be detoured on hard surfaced roads including V18 (Gilmore Ave.), T76 (110th St.), and T76 (Cheyenne Ave.). The closure is anticipated to go through October 2025.
