Operation Green Light for Veterans 2025
Chickasaw County to Participate in 2025 Operation Green Light for Veterans

Today our Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors approved an Operation Green Light for Veterans 2025 Proclamation. Chickasaw County is proud to participate in Operation Green Light to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans. We hope this simple yet meaningful initiative lets our veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported- not just on Veterans Day, but every day of the year.
In advance of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday, Chickasaw County announced plans to illuminate county buildings green from November 4-11 as part of Operation Green Light for Veterans, a nationwide effort uniting counties to support military veterans. The initiative, led by the National Association of Counties (NACo), raises awareness around the unique challenges faced by many veterans and the resources available at the county, state, and federal levels to assist veterans and their families.
Chickasaw County residents, businesses and community organizations are encouraged to participate in Operation Green Light by changing one light to a green bulb. By shining a green light, we let our veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.
“Operation Green Light is an opportunity to thank veterans for both their service to our nation and their contributions to our communities,” said NACo Executive Director Matthew Chase. “With hundreds of counties coming together to light up everything from courthouses to bridges, we know veterans will see and feel our gratitude for their selflessness and courage.”
Counties and residents across the country are sharing their participation on social media using the hashtag #OperationGreenLight.
