24 Hour Emergency Communications Center
Providing 9-1-1 and emergency communication services
Emergency Communication Center (ECC) located within the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office provides 24-hour NG911 and LMR emergency communication for Chickasaw County. The Emergency Communications Center staff are cross-trained in both emergency dispatch and corrections.
In 2021, Chickasaw County underwent a complete countywide upgrade to the Land Mobile Radio and paging system. Chickasaw County Joint 911 Service Board voted to join the Iowa Statewide Interoperability Communications System (ISICS).
In 2022, Chickasaw County upgraded to the Iowa Shared Services Zetron NG911 Answering Point.
